Katy Elementary is a special place! Positioned in the heart of old town Katy, it sits on the same site as the first schoolhouse that was built in 1898 to educate the children of the prairie town. Since then, Katy Elementary has educated many generations of the original settlers to the Katy area and maintains a strong sense of community. Its administration, staff, students and families are proud of the legacy they represent.  At Katy Elementary, family is our legacy. 

Legacy Tiles

Katy Elementary PTO is proud to present the Legacy Tile Program.  With a prominent location in the main foyer of our newly renovated school, each legacy tile will serve as reminder to all who pass by of the community, family and tradition which makes our school so special.  Legacy Tiles provide the opportunity for our KE families, past and present, to recognize the families, students, and staff who have been a part of our KE legacy. A limited number of tiles are available to purchase to commemorate individuals and/or families part of our school’s history.  Don’t miss out on this opportunity to forever be a part of the KE legacy!

Legacy Tiles are 12 x 3 x 0.5 inch red acrylic tiles with white customizable text that will be displayed on the wall in the lobby of Katy Elementary. Cost per tile is $150 plus tax.
